How many ladies would like visitors as soon as you give birth at the hospital?

My first pregnancy my inlaws , mom , moms friens , n my brothers half were there even before my daughter was born after they were all there 
i just  wanted to rest i had just given birth but i dont want to be mean 
i would rather have no visitors until im at home ?anybody experiences ? 
can i tell the nurse if i dont want visitors ?

I don't mind people visiting after birth at the hospital. I don't really want anyone coming to my home for awhile after birth though. I rather them come to the hospital because it'll be a quick visit from everyone. Instead of people visiting us at home and wanting to talk and hold and stay for awhile then idk how to tell people to leave without being  mean lol

My visitors were already in my room before I got there or even knew my room number after my c-section...LOL! I didn't mind and they did ask permission beforehand.

Nobody but hubs and I will be at the hospital. We will orcestrate allowed visitors when we get home. Probably my hubby's parents/siblibgs first (mine live on the other side of the country) and then my siblings. And then maybe if we feel comfortable enough we will arrange dinner with grandparents and then the rest of the in laws shortly after.

We asked that everyone wait until we tell them we were ready for visitors and then we didn't want 40 people all at once. Other than that I was fine with it

The problem with my family and our friends is that we have a lot of them😂😂 the first time I gave birth 8 people were in the room, my husband, my 2 best friends, my mom, my sister, 2 nurses and a doctor. 
Way too many if you ask me, I didnt really care tho because I'm very close to them all and the guys helped my husband to calm down because he was totally freaking out. My mom was in a way too good mood and was laughing the whole time and taking pictures and I was like about to get up and throw her out. My sister didnt know what to do and was just sitting in the corner praying I wont kill my hubby and mom😂😂
We reserved a suite in the hospital so my dad, cousins, some other close friends were waiting in the room next to us and it was actually nice that we just had this cozy home feeling because the room was really cute. 
The day after I gave birth we had like a million people over, just our closest friends and my family but we were about 30 people through out the whole day but I didnt let anyone touch her and they were all okay with that.

Same for me!  Had lots of people there during the birth and several people come to visit.  This time I'm going to ask for no visitors and only husband, moms and son can visit (when I'm ready).  I'll probably have to have a c section this time too, so part of it is that as well.  I feel like most people will listen to your wishes if you explain why...and for those who don't, that's what the nurses are for. 😉
