Super super fast eater?

Hi guys. Newb here. My little guy is 3 months and weighs around 18.5 lb. (born 10lb) He's always been a pretty quick eater, but he's down to only 3 minutes on one side and he's happy for 2.5-3 hours. I've tried bringing him back to the breast for more but he cries when I do. I do have an strong letdown and great supply, but I am worrying about how he can possibly get enough in 3 minutes. Anyone else's baby super speedy?

Yes! My son is 4.5 months and I'm lucky if I get 5-6 minutes on each side and thats including coaxing him back after about 3-4 mins. Lots of wet/poopy diapers and hes growing, but I still cant help but be concerned sometimes.

Lucky! Lol my daughter is almost 4 months and still nurses for up to an hour sometimes!

If you're nervous a lot of breastfeeding support groups have scales! So you can weigh him, feed him, and weigh him again and know exactly how many ounces he is eating!

They defiantly can be that speedy. As long as they are growing (which is sounds like he is!) I would not worry. They know when they are hungry and full. You could be making milk that is very fatty so that baby is getting the calories they need faster. My son was similar for gaining quickly with shorter feeds my midwife said I made cream lol.
