Is this normal?

So I had sex yesterday and when we were doing it and got into it, my body felt numb. I obviously felt his dick inside me and enjoyed it but I remember the rest of my body feeling so numb. Especially my finger tips. I couldn't move my finger tips because they were so numb and I couldn't feel my hands on his back so I kept trying to hold on tighter and tighter. I enjoyed the sex %100 but I just wanted to know if the numb feeling is normal and if so why did I feel that way?
