I just got a pump from ins. What else do I need?

I have the medela pump, it came with 2 bottles, tubes and the basic. I also picked up storage bags. What else should I need?

I'd honestly wait to make sure you are able to pump and make enough milk etc to buy much more. Or at least keep receipts to return if you don't end up using everything. But I exclusively pumped for 6 months and here's what I recommend. Hands free pumping bra or two if you're exclusively pumping cause you'll have them in the wash often when milk gets on them. Get extra parts because washing takes forever (seriously there are soooo many parts) and you'll likely only want to do it once a day. Make sure you have the correct size flanges. I had to order the small size (I didnt know anything about sizing but my lactation consultant pointed me in the right direction for this).  I had an oversupply and had to get 8oz bottles for pumping because the 5oz ones were too small for me.  But again you don't need that all for day one. You'll figure it out as you go and can buy more things as needed.

I would recommend extra storage bottles or containers for the milk, maybe an ice pack to keep everything cool and a simple tote to carry everything in if you didn't already receive one with the pump.

I highly recommend two sets of part that goes on your boobs through the part with the gasket/valve.

I got extra breast shields for like $11 at target. They are one piece instead of two and then I can go a little longer before having to wash them. I just leave them soaking in soapy water. It was so hard to constantly pump, wash, repeat. I also had to pick up bigger bottles because I sometimes have to go longer between pumping sessions and would overfill the 5oz ones.
