New pill? Help

Ive been on the same pill for four years and have had virtually no problems. This period in on right now is the period from hell. I've never been so emotional, so in pain, and feeling so sick. It's been like this the past couple periods so but other than making me feel bad, I'm having no problems. I don't know whether or not I should go on/try a different pill or just push through the pain. Any suggestions?
