Sex during pregnancy

My husband has been gone for 2 weeks for military training! He comes home tomorrow and all he has talked about is wanting to have sex when he gets home... This is my first pregnancy and I'm 9 weeks pregnant but haven't been to the doctor yet... It is safe to have sex right?!
