How soon did family meet the baby?

Question

How soon after your baby was born did immediate family (parents, siblings) meet him/her? Obviously assuming you have a good relationship with them.

My husband's family lives a 20 hour drive away which is definitely far. His dad flew out to see our LO at 1 month but his mom & sisters haven't made any plans at all to come see her and she's 7 weeks. I think part of why it bothers me is we've gone to see them so many times over the last 5 years and they have never once visited us. Am I overreacting thinking its hurtful that they haven't at least made plans or given a reason why they can't come yet? I'd totally understand if it was due to work or money but it's not.

Most of my family lives closer but my dad lives just as far away and he caught a flight the day she was born so he could meet her.

Sadly different people have different priorities is how I see it. We live 3 hrs away from our hometown and my husband's parents made sure they were up here the day I was induced, my mother waited until I could find the time and money to drive back to my hometown, which was around week 2 almost 3, and my sister who lives 8 hrs away hasn't made plans with me to see him. She wanted to go to our hometown when I did but didn't have the money to. So it depends on how bad they want to see the baby on when they come. It is hurtful when you want it to be a priority to the other person but they don't respond the same way. I get that and I was hurt about my mom not coming up.

My LOs grandmother on his side has only seen her 4 times.. She's 3 weeks old and we are moving across country. You would think she would make more of an effort considering she lives just an hour away but nope. Plus her visits are only about an hour each and she always has us meet her at a restaurant instead of coming over to my moms house.. I guess she just won't know his side of the family... So sad

My son is 7 weeks..my parents and SO's parents both live just minutes away. My parents go above and beyond to make sure they see my son as much as possible, they've probably seen him 100 times already lol. His parents have only seen him maybe 3 times max, I even told his mom she needs to come over and see the baby more often and she said she would when "she wasn't busy". I don't take it personal but I just don't understand how they wouldn't want to see him more often. But I guess I was just raised in a fight knit family??? Lol

Baby is 5 weeks and only our mother and my grandmother and our siblings have met the baby due to us not vaccinating.
