Was the airline right to make her change her shorts?

This woman was asked to change her shorts before boarding a flight as 'the burlesque shorts may offend other families'. She had to buy $22 shorts from the airport. The airline are 'allowed to refuse someone entry of their clothing is lewd, obscene or patently offensive'.

Personally I agree with the airline, I really thought she was just wearing underwear. Shorts like that are fine for the beach but not really anywhere else 😕 what are your thoughts?

They paid her back for her shorts. And if I'm not mistaken they gave her a free flight. But airlines have a dress code, they were in their rights to tell her how inappropriate her outfit was and asked her to change.

The outfit is awful anyway and whoa those legs. Glad it wasn't an out side shot. Might have lost my eye sight from the light lol. Why didn't she just change into something else that she packed. I always carry an extra outfit in my carry one. Airlines lose shit too much

She definitely shouldn't be wearing that on a plane. When you sit down your pants ride up slightly (totally normal) and so basically the poor person next to her would be sitting next to her exposed butt and crotch. It's really gross (I've sat next to someone dressed like that before). Airplanes have the right to have a dress code (you can wear shorts but just not shorts that don't provide any coverage) and people should be expected to follow it. I know they paid her for the shorts she had to buy and I think they gave her a free flight (now I think that's going too far honestly).

I always laugh my head off when I see people so underdressed or still in beach wear on a flight. I'm from the uk and it's always/usually cold when you land. Hilarious watching someone in pussy pelmet shorts or skirt and flip flops in wind and rain dragging a case across the car park....

If you're visiting an establishment/event you dress accordingly to their standards and to their code. If you don't want to you are not required to use their services and can find someone else.

I'm all for her wearing what she'd like, but I am also for any business establishing a reasonable dress code and sticking to it (not applying this to a breastfeeding mother or something situation though). She is lucky they even gave her anything other than a kick off the ride.
