And no. I don't think criminal records should be a factor. They aren't supposed to have any biases when it comes to saving a person's life.

What did they do? If the organs aren't damaged why does that matter?

Oh man, difficult call. My uncle received a heart transplant at 65 and there were plenty of people saying he shouldn't have been eligible because of his age and it should have gone to someone younger. I really don't know what I think. Logically it makes the most sense to give the limited amount of organs we have to people who will make good use of them and get the most out of it, but that's a bit of a bizarre concept to pick and choose who gets to live and die based on how good a person they are.
