I received my results from the second trimester screening and received news that I have a higher risk of having a child with Down syndrome. 1/50. However, my first trimester results were normal.  I currently live in Russia and the clinic that I have been going to has repeatedly messed up test results from other tests and I'm wondering what the chances are that these results could be wrong as well. All my ultrasounds have been fine and the baby is growing right on target. I am very hesitant to do amniocentesis but they offered the NIPT test. However, it is very expensive here because they send it to a lab in California. I have honestly felt completely devistated by these results and I know that it is just a screening and neither confirms or denies whether my child has Down syndrome or not but it is scary nonetheless. Anybody been in a similar situation what have you done?
