Rough night, baby cold?

I'm up with my son and he's congested and coughing. He seems in good spirits and is smiling but I feel terrible.  He's struggling a little while feeding.  Hoping it's not a cold.  We had to keep the AC unit on all day today,  I'm wondering if maybe it just irritated his sinuses/throat.

We had the same problem with our LO. We got a humidifier too but what ended up working best is saline drops and the battery operated nasal aspirator. If she was struggling to eat we would put in a few drops and then suck her out. She hated it but after would breathe clear and eat great. This is what our ped told us to do.

One thing we use is the nose freida. It's a little gross but works sooooo good and at least my daughter didn't freak like she did with the regular bulb aspirators.

My LO gets congested at night. As long as he eats fine, you're okay. If "having a little trouble" turns into not eating, I'd take him to see the ped. What I did was start using the humidifier/vaporizer and that has helped. I also had to move him out of my room because it's very dusty in my room for whatever reason.

That being said I hope it's a one night thing for you and that his congestion gets better soon!
