Religion

For a while now I've been considering Paganism as a religion. The idea interests me and I agree with the beliefs etc. My quarrel is that I've always been against the idea of having a religion, as I fear they do more harm than good. I do however, think paganism would be good for me. Should I just convert and see how I do?
