Contractions feel like???

I'm a first time mom and I've had Braxton Hicks since week 30. I'm 37+3 and my contractions now feel like I pulled a muscle across my stomach. Not to mention the intense back pain that goes along with it. Any time I get a contraction, I can barely move because they hurt so bad. I was just curious if these could be labor contractions? If not, what could it be?
