This happened to me. On week 7, he saw two sacks, only one baby in one. He had me come back one week later for an additional ultrasound to confirm that nothing developed in the second sack. Nothing did develop. I had some light bleeding during the beginning of week 7. Doc thinks that was the loss of what could have been a twin. If it doesn't develop into anything for you either, Google Vanishing Twin Syndrome. We didn't always have access to ultrasounds, especially so early on in pregnancy, so it's a newer syndrome that women experience. Very emotionally awkward too. I was thrilled to have my pregnancy confirmed but I equally mourned (and had sad nightmares about) the twin that could have been. 😐
Twins... Maybe
I went to my first ob appointment.. The doctor told me she saw definitely 1 baby and then said she saw another sac but couldn't see for certain a baby in it. I'm going back next week... Has this happened to anyone else? And did you really end up with twins?
