Anyone on bedrest?

How do you deal with looking at all the stuff that needs done at your house and not being able to do it? My husband took the week off with me due to a preterm labor scare and he just doesn't get it! Any advice?

We found a student who was looking for part time work for the summer. She is going to school to be a teacher and was interested in being our nanny for now. She's a little pricey but my SO insisted on it because we had a scare earlier in the year. I try to help out sometimes but she does an outstanding job.

I am on bed rest at 30 weeks for high blood pressure. (Gestational Hypertension) I can't do much of anything because it will spike so high. I. Am. So. Bored. 😢 I went from working 40 hours a week 8 hours a day to...NOTHING.

I was on modified bed rest at 16 weeks, full bed rest at 20 weeks. It's crappy but whatcha gonna do? I'll admit I'm a control freak and need to do things myself but I've had to learn to let that go. As a fitness instructor not being able to do anything I find it stressful, which only adds to the stress of bed rest. So I try to be helpful/productive on bed rest as much as I can (aka lean mean crafting/knitting/crocheting machine). Plus I'm reading lots on post partum topics so I feel like I'll be ready to go once baby is born.

I'm not on bed rest but my back is really bad so I haven't been able to Keep up with the house. It's been driving me crazy. Especially the dog hair. And I had to fire my housekeeper because she kept canceling. Really regretting that. I'm just going to have a cleaning crew come out about 2 weeks before I give birth.

I'm not now, but I might need to be later! I was also on bed rest for a few weeks early on in my pregnancy. I found Sidelines- a nonprofit online support organization for women on bedrest or in high risk situations. I recommend joining! Women on that FB page have really good advice for handing bedrest. Good luck!

i hate it...I was told that I have to relax and take it easy because I'm way too early to have my daughter yet she's already down in my cervix and trying to make her way out...the doctor did an internal and told me that she's way deep in my cervix and that I have to stay off my feet otherwise it can cause dilation and preterm labor... which is so hard to do because me and my husband and our toddler are moving, and the landlord here is rushing us out so we have till tomorrow to get everything to the new place ...and hubby works till 5, so its an all day process...i feel helpless and want to help soo bad
