Uti??

Question

I'm 6 weeks today. I have had on and off back pain last 3 days. But today I noticed my pee smelled really strong. It had earlier in week bc I had been on amoxicillin but that was done Monday.
My first u/s is Friday morning. I'm trying to wait and have them check for bladder infection or uti.  But it burns and worse when I pee. Back still hurts.

Anyone else have uti this early on? If so what were you able to take to treat it ? I always end up w yeast infections after taking antibiotics :/

Yes. I'm almost 6 weeks. I got my UTI at 5 weeks 2 days and I was prescribed Macrobid. 2 pills a day for 7 days and it helped tremendously. I didn't have burning or back pain or anything, I didn't even know I had one until I went to the doctor and they tested my urine🙁

Try drinking water to the point where you're peeing every 10-15 min. If it still hurts then, then I'd say get tested.

Back pain is part of pregnancy from day 1. Your amoxicillin is a system wide antibiotic rather than focused on one body part. Not ideal for a UTI but should help it. It takes at least a week for it to get out of your system. I took it back in October and had a reaction to it on day 8 of 10. Full body hives, it was awful. It took another week or two before it was out of my system and the hives went away.

Try the water, a heating pad on your back, and see if that helps.
