pregnancy, did their biological sex end up matching the old wives' tale regarding heart rate?" /> My husband and I have a friendly debate going regarding the accuracy of the old wives' tale regarding higher heart rates in females and lower heart rates in males. I pointed out the study done by the University of Kentucky, as he's a UK fan. Mostly I'm having fun tormenting him with the idea of a daughter. 😀

I've had 2 boys and 2 girls, and my girls were always quite a bit higher than the boys, but not necessarily matching the numbers given here. This one is 150 and I'm thinking boy. My husband says,  "See, you girls are stressed before you even get here." LOL

Around this time when I was pregnant with my first, my midwife joked that it might be a boy with the HR being in the 140s. We both forgot about that conversation however when the ultrasound mid pregnancy showed a girl. Fast forward to the birth and guess who was wrong? We had a boy!

Both my Boys heart rate was 170 and 179
