New Allergies?

Anyone else develop seasonal allergies for the first time in pregnancy? I'm 25 weeks and, for 3-weeks, have been coughing like crazy... so much so that I pulled a muscle. My general practitioner concluded that it was a combination of things and put me on both Claritin and a z-pack for a few days, which seemed to help. But now, a few days later, my cough is back! The dr said that if the cough comes back, go back to the Claritin but it just seems funny. I've never had allergies before and now I had them so badly I pulled a muscle! Does this sound normal to anyone?
