Okay so im 12 weeks, this is my first pregnancy. And im wondering if its wrong to get screening done? Or blood work that would check how my baby is doing.. Is this wrong? Or will it harm the baby in any way?

If your talking about ultrasounds it shouldn't hurt the baby at all. I've had so many I can't even count. Specially since I got detected GD. I wouldn't worry but if it does just talk to your doctor.

The blood work is totally safe! No different than taking your blood at any other time.

Even the later tests (totally different) that use a needle in the gestational sac (amniocentesis or CVS) are very very safe these days.

Blood work is very noninvasive for the baby. I personally got it done, but it does make you think. Personally I wanted to know if everything was ok with my little one before having her.  Your choice completely, but the blood work will not hurt your baby.

Screening as in????
The 12 weeks NT scan ultrasound is JUST an ultrasound, it will NOT hurt the baby.
Neither will the blood test (Harmony or panorama) they just take a vial of blood from ur vain and send it to the lab. Results in 7 to 14 business days. Neither of those will hurt the baby in any way. 
IF both the NT scan ultrasound and the harmony test comeback positive or higher risk for downs or any other abnormalities, then u have the CHOICE to to a CVS test. A CVS test IS AN INVASIVE TEST.  They go through ur belly with a big needle,  INTO THE PLACENTA and take samples for further tests. The CVS test IS associated with miscarriages and they DO tell u that before u get it and also have to sign a paper stating u understand the risks. 
However,  u don't have to do such tests unless both the NON INVASIVE AND 100% SAFE NT scan ultrasound and Harmony test come back with high risk for downs or any other abnormalities.

No, as long as it's the recommended blood work by your doctor. I would however, not recommended an amniocentesis. That can harm the fetus. I had all my blood work done, cbc, blood typing, hiv, and various immunity tests done. Not an issue. Also, at your first visit they do a Pap smear and test you for gonehhrea and chlamydia. Just a heads up.
