Is it just me!?

Question

Who else has to take thyroid pills!? I fkn hate taking these small little pills i looked online what I can eat before and after or during I take them and it says it's better to fast before and after you take them so I literally don't eat anything for 8 fkn hours for the rest of my pregnancy and it makes me super mad cause I am hungry all the damn time...and I have one more week of taking these fkn pills but seems like time is dragging on in this last week and I am just fkn livid and done with this fkn shit...sorry for the language just I am super hungry and I have to take my damn thyroid pill around 5 the same time everyday than I can eat around 8 - 9 o'clock usually 9 cause that's when I wake up

Like someone else mentioned, you should take the pill on an empty stomach but you only need to wait about 45 mins to an hour to eat. I usually take it when i get up to use the bathroom in the morning and then i go back to sleep, that way i dont have to wait with a growling tummy untill i can eat. 1 small pill really isnt as bad as taking 18 a day that have such a strong flavor that make you gag and nothing takes away the taste. I've been on both sides and i would pick this one pill anyday.

I leave my bottle next to my bed and take it when I wake up to pee at like 4 am, so then I go back to sleep and i can eat when I get up a few hours later.

I took PTU medication for hyperthyroidism - Graves' disease for the whole entire first trimester. They were awful! I had to take 12 pills a day. They would leave the most bitter taste in my mouth and it was hard to eat, mix that with morning sickness and I felt like dying. I lost almost 20 pounds. I would just try my hardest to eat. Thank God seriously that my baby is healthy! Also that I no longer have thyroid issues! But that was the worst three months of my life I think lol

Ok calm down, you're fasting too long. The recommendation is to take them 1 hour before or 2 hours after food. But that's just a recommendation. Just do your best. I also have mine on my bedside table and pop one in as soon as I wake up. By the time I haul my butt out of bed and make breakfast at least 30-45 minutes have passed. As long as you're taking your pill daily, getting your blood work done on schedule and your levels are good then everything is fine.

Take it first thing in the morning when you wake up and wait 30 minutes to eat. I've been on them for a decade  I'm starving right when I wake up so I hate waiting but it give me time to make a healthy breakfast.
