TTC without tracking.....

Me and my boyfriend have been ttc for 6 months (I know some ladies are gonna say that isnt long but for us its a long time) My periods are irregular....But my boyfriend said we should just try without tracking so it wont be as stressful on me( i have such a smart man💙) Has anyone been successful doing this ? How long did it take and what else did u do ?
