How many of you also failed the sugar test?! (I'm worried)

I failed my first sugar test and am 2 hours into the 3 hour test. I'm so concerned. I've heard stories about sugar causing huge babies and increased risks of different complications. Who else has been through this? The thing that really got me was that I have tried extra hard to eat good so I wouldn't gain alot of weight (since I started out a little bigger). I've only gained 10 pounds so far through my pregnancy and now I'm super bummed. All my hard work and I'm still not doing this right...

It has nothing to do with what you're eating your exercise or your family history don't say all this hard work for nothing you're doing a great job that you've been eating healthy that's awesome this gestational diabetes thing is strictly hormonal it's how the pregnancy hormones are affecting your body's way of breaking down sugar carbs and insulin you can be perfectly perfectly do everything perfectly and get gestational diabetes please spread this as much as you can so many women get down on themselves thinking they did something wrong it's not you it's the hormones

I had my glucose tolerance test yesterday morning and I'm still waiting for my results. I'm definitely concerned about it though! :( I hope you pass your 3 hour test!!

I failed my 3hr and have met with a dietitian. So far my bs level has been great and I continued to eat exactly the same way I did before I failed it. I'm sure if I drank a bunch of pop or those drinks they give you for the test I would fail everytimr. It's frustrating but it's even more frustrating when you test four times a day and your bs is in normal range. 😒 Good luck ! I hope you pass and if not I'm right here with ya lady !

I currently have gestational diabetes and as of now they have me watching my levels and I go back on Tuesday so my doc can check my levels and discuss medication. best wishes.

My sister and mom both had gestational diabetes and all of us kids were normal size and no complications my sister had premies but she had twins so that was pretty normal

I failed my 1 hour and just took the 3 hour on Monday. Still waiting to hear results!

I just found out I failed my one hour test a few days ago. I'm super worried about the 3 hour test as well. Praying for good results for you.

I never did the 1 hr or 3hr glucose test. My OB ordered a 2 hr one and I failed. I went over by 5. So now I meet with a dietician to manage my gestational diabetes. I am 28+2 currently and was told I'd be okay as long as I watched my carb intake, ate 3 meals a day with snacks in between. I check my glucose levels one hr after every meal and in the AM when I wake up. I felt very overwhelmed at first. I've know a few people who had GD and their babies came out nice a healthy and not weighing more than 9 pounds. I have an ultrasound scheduled for my 31 weeks to check his growth. Got my two hour test tomorrow due to too much fluid round baby so they think it's gestational diabetes. I'm crapping it. Hopefully I pass but the again I won't know why I've got polydryhanious.
