Early labor

I woke up around 3am to really bad back cramps that came every 10 minutes. I rolled out of bed and realized I was having a really hard time walking. I called my doctor's office around 9am and they had me come in. My favorite midwife had me hooked up to the monitors and we saw the most beautiful contractions. Baby was doing really well so she took me into an exam room so she could check my cervix. I'm still 2cm but I am finally making progress and am 50% effaced. She wrote my husband a doctor's note to get him out of work because she really believes I am going to go into active labor by tonight!!! So excited to finally meet my little girl but sad too since this is our last child.
