Hello Ladies, not sure where to post this but Im really worried. I have a miniture shih tzu about three pounds. She's a year old and just out of no where she has started panting. It almost seems like she was hyperventilating  she's not shaking or showing any other signs. At first she had her tongue out and was breathing very fast and her heart was beating really hard. Now she's doing a bit better I have her in my room with the air conditioner on. Her tongue isnt out anymore, but she's still breathing kind of hard. I dont know what to do its 2am. And Im trying to remain calm and not freak her out. I adore this freaking dog and I suck at dealing with stress Im about to start crying... Has anyone experienced anything like this before, Please!
