Is it weird for an 18 year old to date a 26 year old

I get that they are both adults technically, but to me it's creepy. Why can't the 26yr old find someone of his own age ? But whatever at least it's not me.

I'm 18 and my boyfriend is 24 :), there's absolutely nothing wrong with it at all and my boyfriend acts younger than his age. People are too quick to judge. You're the legal age therefore it does not matter or shouldn't concern anyone else x

I was 18 and he was 32 we had been friends for 5 years or more then started hanging out more then just got together and now we are dating and very happy not a problem at all

Everyone's different and obviously an age gap isn't an issue for some people but everyone I know who has attempted a relationship with an age gap like this wound up breaking up because of it. Some rushed into getting married too soon because they were pressured by the older partner who wanted to be settled and it ended in divorce. Some just realized they were in very different places in their lives and didn't want the same things/didn't have the same maturity level. It can be tough to overcome

I was 17 when I started dating dating a 24 year old. We've been together 3 years now with one baby on the way and have a great life together. Everyone will have their opinions and yes in some cases it could be wrong. But not in every case, my mom almost killed me when she found out, but then after he talked to her and they got to know eachother she loves him to death.
