Anyone else going to cloth diaper?

I registered for 40 cloth pocket diapers. I am excited to try them. But I plan on using disposables for newborn.. until cloth fit. I need a guess at how many disposable newborn size I will need! Will I need size 1 disposable? Or should cloth fit at that point?

I'm cloth diapering as well, I was going to start with disposables, but I found some newborn cloth diapers that got good reviews (thirsties). I'm going to get 12 to start and I figure I'll do a mixture of cloth and disposables to get ready for full time cloth diapering. Many of the one size pocket diapers claim to fit newborns, so I may use the bulkier o/s at night and the trim newborn size during the day, to fit under those cute outfits! Also, I'll hold off on any cloth until after the miconium passes.  Happy cloth diapering, I'm weirdly excited to do it too!

Since my sister cloth diapers already I've gotten pretty comfortable with it.  She already gave me my first one!  A bum genius pocket!

G diapers have newborn sizes and their newborn bundle is pretty awesome. They also have flushable disposable liners that are awesome for the awful newborn poop. I've an huge stash thanks to a family member and Im very excited about them.

If I was a SAHM I would, but I'm a teacher, so it's just easier not to.

You most likely will need a box of size 1. As for when you can stop disposable it depends on the brand of cloth and how your baby is shaped. I waited until my son was 3 months so I went brought a few boxes. I also kept using disposable over night because he would soak through otherwise.
