False labor story

So, I thought my water was leaking. Doctor checked my cervix. Nothing, completely closed. Later that night, had old blood come out, but not too much, and I wasn't worried. Left my SIL's home and... BAM!!! Horribly painful contraction. Went from my lower back to my front and my belly was hard. Lasted almost two minutes. Started timing them, even though I was yelling from the pain. Hubby had to pull over and we just waited, because we were close to the hospital, but far from home. The contractions were incredibly strong, but irregular, so we went home. Even after the contractions left, I could barely move, I was in so much pain.

I'm so sad that it wasn't the real deal, and I'm terrified because it was incredibly intense! The car ride was unbearable and I could barely move. :/ Anyone else have a similar experience?
