First apartment?

What are some Steps on getting your own place we have the money saved but we need help its mine and my boyfriends first time trying to get a place we filled out many applications but we have no credit could this be why we haven't got a call back 😪😪 ?

If you have first, last and deposit you should be able to find an apartment. Also your income needs to be double your rent and they will want proof.

Credit would definitely be why you aren't getting call backs. Set up a credit card, use it, and pay it off every month. 
Make sure you have proof of income- it'll need to be 3-4x rent in some places. 
It's definitely not fun to be apartment hunting like that :/
