Today. I was called a "cradle robber" as an insult. This is because my boyfriend is ONE year younger than me. Yes.. Just one year. There are women who date men 5+ years older than them who don't have to be ridiculed for it. In fact, most people don't ridicule you unless you're dating someone 10+ years or older. So why when it is the other way around, it is so frowned up or "embarrassing" per say? This isn't the only double standard, but height as well! You get ridiculed for dating a guy who could literally be one or two inches shorter than you. But no one says anything about a woman who dates a man a foot taller than her! It's 2016. When can we stop making fun of couples for such little things?
