Hypothyroidism and Birth Control

I'm not exactly sure if i can take birth control with high doses if you have hypothyroidism. Im planning on taking the Depo Shot but i think it will be not suitable for me. Maybe the patch? Does any of you guys have the same problem? Any advice would really help me a lot.  Thank you in advance. :)
