advice needed

my husband and i are both muslim

however his family r pakistani muslim and i am actually from a non muslim family

we named our lovely son Ryan before anyone starts it is infact a muslim name and a variant of Rayyan ... anyway his family r furious that it doesnt sound pakistani or muslim enough

even although any name that does have bad meaning is acceptable in islam

they refuse to use his name , they just call him baby

when the issue first cropped up i did say to my husband r u sure ur happy with Ryan should we change it but he insisted we stick with our choice

however he now wont tell them to use the babies name ... i have asked them to use it but hey im just white trash to them unless the man of the house tells them to use it they will just call him what thy want so for now its hi baby

what should i do im getting really upset
