Plan B and birth control?

So a while ago my boyfriend finally came inside but I had been on the depo shot for a few weeks but I was still having my periods irregularly. We went to the store and I took plan b. Can this effect my current birth control? Of course I researched and all but I didn't find much at the time. Can anyone else relate?
