First Period After Oophorectomy
Hello! I just had a laparotomy/oophorectomy three weeks ago. They removed the almost 13 cm X 4 cm tumor, along with my left ovary and Fallopian tube. I have felt great and healed even better. I visited my doctor two days ago and I'm cleared to do whatever now.
Today I started my first period since the surgery, which would explain the constant eating and mood swings. I never have painful periods (yes, I know it's a blessing). I know it's only three weeks since the surgery and it's my first period but I wanted to hear from others with similar stories. Did anyone have increased pain following this procedure and did it continue even after the first period.
