Is is safe to take a road trip being 25 weeks?

350 miles. I'm almost 25 weeks will be gone only a week. Do you think it's safe? I won't be the one driving. Help ladies

We're road tripping at the beginning of August Ill be 28 weeks. My doctor said it was perfectly fine just to make sure we stop at least every 2 hours to walk around because sitting will increase chances of blood clots. If your nervous about it then just ask your doctor for a copy of your records to take with you.

Definitely safe. I had a friend that her husband was being stationed up here in Alaska, so they drove from texas to Alaska while she was 32 weeks pregnant

I've researched this and asked my doc. General consensus is as follows:

*Stop every 2 hrs
*No more than 6 hrs in a day
*Get a checkup first if it's after 27 weeks (but more than likely they won't stop you)
*Write down hospital #s for along the way.

I've gone 300 miles in a day, then partied outside all day, then turned around and came 300 miles the next day and it wasn't anything like driving non-pregnant, but it was doable. I did another trip where I drove the 300 miles. Same conclusion.

Yes! We are driving 950 miles from MN to NY for my shower this month. I'll be 28w. I also just flew at 26w and everything was fine.

I am constantly taking road trips, literally every weekend. My dr sed its fine. Just stay hydrated.

I think it'd be fine! I'm sure you could even drive if you wanted to. But if you're really worried you could ask your doctor

Totally fine! At 24 weeks, we drove from Denver to Kansas City, it's about 600 miles. Just make sure you stop when needed to pee and stretch your legs. Bring snacks too, to avoid eating gas station garbage. And since you'll be traveling by car, you will have space to bring all the pillows you need to make yourself comfortable. I built myself a little nest and leaned my seat all the way back so I could lay on my side. It's not the safest, but I have a pinched nerve in my thigh that causes pain and numbness in prolonged seated positions.
