HELP. Is it delusion or am I just accepting it

My relationship with my boy friend is great , but as a female we tend to over think & my insurites are always there but My boyfriend ex still text him and call him . All our fights our about her . Because she does things to get his attention like she tells him that she's going to kill herself and go out and drink and smoke till she dies and he's a good person and all but I seen his call log and they are talking but we are always together unless we are at work . She lives in Texas and we stay in IL so I know he isn't physically seeing her but I constantly tell him to block her and he says they are just friends . Should I make him choose or should I just leave it alone or should I be a bitch and text my ex too  even though I want to kill the bitch because she so disrespectful
