Rice cereal

So my son had his four-month old check up yesterday and the doctor said because my son drinks about 6 ounces every three hours she thought that he was ready to start the rice cereal this morning I tried it and he made the ugliest face and spit it all out he didn't seem to like it and I kept on you know trying to get him a little bit more and he just kept on like getting more upset and not liking it has anyone else experienced this I didn't experience this with my first baby he liked it right away and he started eating it at four months as well.
