Can I be pregnant?

Question

Please note that this question is hypothetical, I didn't have sex and I'm not concerned about being pregnant but I'm just simply curious. Also, please no comments calling me stupid or being rude in general!

If I got my period, could I still be pregnant? Or does your period stop once you get pregnant? Also, do you get your period throughout your pregnancy, or is it only the first month that you skip?

It's absolutely impossible to have a period while pregnant. What women experience is called decidual bleeding. It mimics a period but always lighter and shorter. In order to have a period, you ovulate... Therefore not possible. And yes, you shouldn't have any bleeding once pregnant. You can have implantation bleeding, which happens when the egg is fertilized and implanted. Then if you experience any bleeding after that, you always want to inform a doctor as there could be a problem. There is a small group of women who experience light bleeding while pregnant, but it's not harmful, it's just unexplainable for some reason.
