I have a crush on a guy and he kinda likes me back too but he never ever ever stops talking about his ex. It's all he ever talks about and brings up.  He claims that he is over her and that he would never go back there again or anything like that but he never shuts up about her. The split like 4/5 months ago.  I really like him but every time we talk he mentions his ex more than anything, bring everything back to his ex. 
Got any suggestions? Thanks girls/boys.

He's not over her. If he was he wouldn't talk about her. You can always call him out on it. Then he might stop talking about her at least.

Being up your ex too lmao, or maybe just tell him straight out go back to her then if you're just gonna keep talking about it.. Simple, be straight out, it's always the best way to go

He isn't over her if he is always talking about her, but you can be there for him as a friend (for now) to listen... Maybe he will eventually get out all of his feelings about her, but until then, I wouldn't date him because you won't be getting all of him. I made (my now husband) stop talking to this girl he used to be infatuated with (a couple of years before we met) because I was never getting "all" of him, I could tell it was stopping him from being completely in love with me, at the time he was upset that I asked that of him, but now he thanks me and we are very much in love!
