Best condoms and lube!

Bf and I are in the midst of a huge pregnancy scare. Meaning I've tested positive once and negative 3 times. Waiting for AF in 2 days. But it has us seriously thinking more about birth control. We use "condoms" aka NEVER end up putting them on. Smart I know. But currently we use Trojan Bareskin because he said it feels the most like "raw" out of all that he's tried. But for me it seriously dries me out and it hurts. We use KY jelly along with it but it's just....blah. Has anyone found any maybe, not so popular brands, that ended up being amazing? Please let me know. I'm not really into any weird "warming" sensations. I plan on getting the arm implant if it turns out I'm not pregnant so hopefully condoms won't be an issue much longer.
