Severe reflux 6 weeks old help!

Please could someone advise, although I am seeing the doctor tomorrow my new born has sever reflux that it keeps him up continuously and he doesn't sleep, he makes all sorts of sounds squeaks, grunts and cries. We are using infacol for colic and wind, but he regurgitates some of  his feeds and brings up lumpy milk, today he's slept for about 3 hours maximum, I feel so helpless. Sometimes he's reflux is bad he starts coughing, and even the reflux affects his breathing has anyone else been through this please. I am a first time mum and any support or words of advise would be grateful. I do elevate his Moses basket to try and help. I also wind him regularly in between feeds (bottle fed from birth) does this get easier?? 😞
