Formula fed baby

Anyone else unsuccessfully try to breast feed and now formula feed? I have flat nipples and my son is tongue tied so we just recently moved to formula and I'm feeling super guilty and disappointed. I am a believer that FED IS BEST but i can't help but feel sad that it didn't go as planned. I really wanted to BF but he just would not latch no matter what we tried, I also tried to exclusively pump and pumped milk and blood every time I pumped from the damage done to my nipples the first week. Not really a question more so just wondering if anyone else has gone through the same thing. My LO is 2 weeks old
