Am I over exaggerating?

My beautiful sister is my maid of honour for my wedding & she has just gone and got a HUGE tattoo over her whole shoulder. It really does look amazing and I'm not a tattoo person but I like it.

But...
I don't like it enough to
Want it at my wedding, I'm all
My photos and while we're standing at the front for the ceremony.
And I don't want her to have to where a long sleeved dress.-
Is it wrong that I want her to cover it with makeup for the day....@ least the ceremony & photos ?

The way I see it is this: you chose her. Not her hair, not her tattoos, not her body type or size. If you don't like the way she looks, then don't have her in your wedding.
Yes, it is your day, and it is about you when your partner. But all I can think of is if anyone asked me to cover up my tattoos, or dye my hair, or vastly change my appearance for their wedding, I would probably just back out.
To me, I would see this somewhere along the same vein as asking your bridesmaid to lose 50 pounds so she looks good standing next to you. 
You've got to think about how it would make her feel, and if you would want someone to say the same to you.
Personally, I would never ask one of my bridesmaids to cover up a tattoo, birthmark, lose weight, gain weight, or even dye their hair. If I don't like them as they are, then why would I have them in my bridal party?

How eye catching is this tattoo? I know I'd be super annoyed if I was asked to cover my tattoo for someone's wedding. If it's not offensive, I'd say let it go. You love her and value her... Or else she wouldn't be you maid of honor. Don't ask her to cover up something that must have been special to her for her to put it so prominently on her body

No it's not wrong at all! Kat Von d has really great tattoo cover up! She should understand about that. Just ask her nicely and don't threaten to take her out of the wedding because of the tattoo lol I'm sure she would be okay with covering it up for one night of her life to make her sister happy ❤️

I think you should take her as she is. I can't stand when brides try to dictate their bridesmaids personal style choices. You get to choose her dress and maybe her shoes and hairdo, but let her tattoo be.

My sister got her sleeve a month before my wedding and it was huge and so nice...I didn't mind but my family kept telling her she would need to cover it..I didn't see a problem ..she looked just as beautiful as my other bridesmaids and in the pictures it wasn't the first thing I noticed..I like tattoos tho so it's different for everyone...it is your wedding tho! 😊
