What were your Hcg levels at 8 weeks gestation?

I just got my levels back and they are highlighted in red meaning they are concerned. 
My levels are 87607- why would the dr be concerned? Could it be twins? Am I farther?

Answer

Red doesn't mean they are a concern, it means it is a high value from normal. Normal would mean an non-pregnant level (0-5), so your value just means it's higher than a person who isn't pregnant, which it should be since your 8 weeks. The computer system has a set of values for each lab test for a normal, healthy,non-pregnant person, the computer does not know you are 8 weeks pregnant all it knows is that your HCG levels are higher than this average range so it lights up red to show its an abnormal value from normal, which in this case indicates pregnancy. I hope that makes sense.

At 7 weeks and 6 days my hCG levels were 130,391. I know for a fact there's only one baby in there too lol! There is such a broad spectrum on normal hCG levels! ❤️🌈👶🏽
