How long after you started dilating did you go into labor with baby #2, 3 or so on. PLEASE VOTE

I'm 38+4 and 2 centimeters dilated with baby boy #2. I heard that first time moms can dilate early and not go into labor for weeks.(dilated at 37 weeks with my first,didn't give birth till 42 weeks) BUT I heard that it changes with subsequent pregnancies and it can mean baby is coming sooner. I'm curious to know if this is true and my baby could be here soon!
