Bleeding after membrane sweep normal? Bright red blood and a lot

I had a membrane sweep don't this morning I'm 39+5. I am 5.5cm dilated and 95% effaced and i have been bleeding pretty heavily this morning no contractions. Just want to know of bleeding bleeding is normal not just spotting.

They told me they did a really invasive sweep so they weren't surprised I bled a lot. It's starting to lighten up a bit. I'm starting to have some decent back pain
