Question for moms who went into labor naturally

If you lost pieces of your mucus plug, then suddenly at 38 weeks lost a big piece with blood mixed in, and you're already dilated to a 4, how soon did you go into labor? Or did they induce you later anyway? I'm really wondering about odds here lol I'm trying to get this kid to come naturally so they don't have to induce me at 39+4
