Pre cancer cells?

Question

I had two biopsies done on 2 moles this week. One on my chest and one on my back. I just got the call earlier that my chest is fine but the back one has pre cancer cells in it and I have to come back next month to get more taken out. What does pre cancer cells mean? I know we have cancer in us that doesn't "wake up" for some of us but doesn't this mean that it is further along to becoming cancer if they want it all out?

I had this happen once, they said that it could turn into cancer or it could go away. Mine went away on it's on the best biopsy I had.

It means if you were to leave it, it could turn into cancer

I had a mole on my temple do this. I went back and he went a little deeper. That was 2 years ago and we just watch it. Dr said as long as it doesn't come back it's good. I am worried now because I have a new very strange mole on my back. I call thinking I can get right in and have had to wait over a month! Crossing my fingers! Good luck!
