Fat is not healthy

Anon
I'm seeing a lot of posts about young women asking if they are "too big". While I have to say most people asking are either average or skinny as sticks, some people really are quite big. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I keep seeing people post "no you're fine as long as you're healthy weight doesn't matter" but...it does. There is no such thing as being a healthy 300+ pounds. Although you may not have noticeable health issues now, you will get them. Diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol just to name a few. While I'm COMPLETELY against fat shaming and I feel like we should lift everyone's spirits because yes EVERYONE is beautiful, I don't think it's fair to tell people they don't need to do anything. If you are overweight yes you DO need to eat healthier and exercise. We should be encouraging but in a way that will inspire people to take their health back. It's doing more harm than good to tell people to just keep doing what they are doing.
EDIT: please read the damn post before commenting. I said "posts about women asking if they're too big" obviously I'm not going to comment on a picture if the post doesn't pertain to weight or body image. And no I'm not walking up to people in the mall offering my health advice. Come on guys...read.... If a woman posts a picture of their overweight body asking my opinion, you're damn right I'll call her beautiful but I'm also going to tell her just make sure you're eating healthy and being active. Sue me. This is why America is one of the most obese countries.
