Late period on the pill

So I'm taking cryselle and I'm on the 28 pack. I'm on my second to last green pill (the reminder pill), and I just started my period today. Is this normal? Will it carry over into the regular white pills? Is it spotting? Im just a little lost since my period tends to be irregular, but I know for a fact I was supposed to start my period earlier than today. Any ideas, ladies?
