Heartbroken-Empty Sac *updated 7/22*
My husband and I began our Thursday really excited to see our baby at our first ultrasound only to see an empty yolk sac. I had a transvaginal ultrasound. We thought we were about 9 w so we should have definitely seen the baby. The doctor explained that either we are a few weeks off (meaning I'm not as far along as we thought) or I will miscarry. I have another ultrasound scheduled next week. Anyone have this happen and the outcome was positive? I'm so emotional right now! I have had all the typical pregnancy symptoms and no spotting/bleeding. I know when my last period was and know the week we conceived. I have always been regular with my cycles. My first positive pregnancy test was the week of June 13th. Help!
**Update: Returned for another appointment 7/22 and the sac was measuring 7w 5d however still an empty sac. Dr. Said it was a blighted ovum. Have scheduled a D& C for the first week of August. We are heartbroken. 😥
